CINCINNATI (WXIX) - FC Cincinnati head coach Pat Noonan announced that center-back Matt Miazga will be sitting out for Wednesday’s match against the Philadelphia Union.

The All-Star defender sustained an injury during a defensive play against San Jose where his leg hit the goal post.

When asked if it could be a long-term injury, Noonan called it “not great” and said it could be long-term.

That means FC Cincinnati is down two of its best defenders for the Juneteenth game as Miles Robinson is currently playing for the U.S. Men’s National Team.

Wednesday’s match will be held at TQL Stadium. Kick-off is at 7:45 p.m.
