FCC’s Luciano Acosta voted MLS All-Star Captain for second consecutive time
CINCINNATI (WXIX/ENQUIRER) - FC Cincinnati midfielder Luciano Acosta has been named captain of the 2024 MLS All-Star Team once again.
This is the second time the FCC superstar was voted captain for the MLS All-Star Team.
On July 2, Acosta was one of four nominees to potentially receive the honorary, going up against Inter Miami CF legend Lionel Messi, Real Salt Lake’s Cristian “Chicho” Arango and Columbus Crew’s Juan “Cucho” Hernandez.
Last season, Acosta was named MLS Most Valuable Player.
He currently leads the league with the most assists, 17, and the most key passes, 82.
The 2024 MLS All-Star Game will take place at Lower.com Field in Columbus against Liga MX.
Kick-off is at 8 p.m.
