North College Hill football evacuated and canceled following shots fired report

NORTH COLLEGE HILL, Ohio (WXIX) - The Cincinnati Country Day vs. North College Hill football game was evacuated and canceled after reports of shots were fired by the football stadium on Friday.

The North College Hill Police Department confirmed Bruce “Coach B” Baarendse Memorial Stadium had been evacuated and a vehicle involved in the incident was located.

“Officers have located the vehicle involved in the incident and have spoken to the occupants of that vehicle,” police said in a statement. “This appears to be an isolated event and not connected to the game at the school.”

A witness told FOX19 NOW that the game was in the third quarter when players and coaches began running off the field and fans ran from the stands.

“Everybody in the press box hit the deck,” the witness said. “I didn’t hear it, but everyone said there were about five or six shots fired.”

North College Hill police told FOX19 NOW no one was injured.
