FC Cincinnati announces schedule for Round 1 of MLS Cup Playoffs

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - FC Cincinnati will be the Number 3 seed in this year’s MLS Cup Playoffs -- and will host Number 6 seed New York City FC in the first round.

Round 1 will be a best-of-three series.

The orange and blue will host Game 1 at 6:45 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28 at TQL Stadium.

Game 2 will take place at a venue to be determined on Nov. 2.

Game 3 -- if necessary -- will be back at TQL Stadium at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9.

If FC Cincinnati can beat New York City, they’ll advance to the Conference semifinals.

Those games will be single-elimination matches on Saturday, Nov. 23, and Sunday, Nov. 24.

FCC would face either the Columbus Crew or the New York Red Bulls in Round 2.
