FC Cincinnati finalizing deal to send Luciano Acosta to FC Dallas: Source
CINCINNATI (WXIX) - After months of rumors and a few public comments, it appears as though Luciano “Lucho” Acosta is leaving Cincinnati.
Talks of Acosta leaving FC Cincinnati started in November 2024, after the team’s early exit from the playoffs.
Following the loss, Acosta eluded that the match might have been his last time playing for FCC.
A few days later, Acosta appeared on ESPN Argentina to express his desire to play elsewhere.
However, the star player and club captain is still contracted with FCC.
Questions continued to pop up as Acosta joined his teammates for pre-season training camp late a few weeks ago, with fans wondering where he stands with the club.
The answer seems final now, with Acosta seemingly on his way to Dallas, Texas.
As Acosta exits, Evander enters the conversation.
FC Cincinnati is expected to sign the former Portland midfielder to help fill the void Acosta’s absence will create.
The team has yet to confirm the trade, but all signs point to this being a done deal.
Even more interesting, FCC is set to host FC Dallas on May 28, 2025, at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati’s West End.
