FC Cincinnati beats New York in MLS opener at TQL Stadium

CINCINNATI (ENQUIRER) - FC Cincinnati opened its season with a Saturday night win over New York Red Bulls at TQL Stadium, our partners at the Enquirer report.

Cincinnati won 1-0 and took the lead with a 70th-minute goal by striker Kévin Denkey, who was acquired this offseason as well as midfielder Evander.

The Orange and Blue next face Honduras side FC Motagua in the second leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup. Cincinnati leads the aggregate 4-1 ahead of the elimination game Wednesday night at TQL Stadium.

FC Cincinnati continues its MLS season Saturday at Philadelphia Union.
