CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Soccer fanatics in Cincinnati have a rare opportunity to volunteer for FIFA this summer as the international organization hosts its new club competition, the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, at TQL Stadium.

Volunteers are expected to be a friendly face that not only represents FIFA but the Queen City as well.

While roles vary between volunteers, they play a key function in the stadium, training sites, hotels and more.

Those interested in volunteering must meet the following criteria:

  • Have reached 18 years old by Jan. 1, 2025. There is no upper age limit.
  • Speak English (knowing additional languages is a plus).
  • Commit to a minimum of eight shifts during the tournament.

Perks of being a volunteer include:

  • An official FIFA Club World Cup 2025 volunteer uniform
  • Meals and refreshments during your shift
  • Skills-based learning opportunities
  • Volunteer certificate
  • A unique experience

“Volunteers are the heart and soul and also the face - and the smile - of FIFA tournaments,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino. “Their passion, their smiles, their energy and positivity play an essential role in the success of every FIFA competition, contributing to the unique and unforgettable atmosphere in the host countries. Put simply, we would not be able to organize our tournaments without them.”

People interested in volunteering can apply here.

In addition to Cincinnati, 10 other U.S. cities are hosting the international competition where 32 teams will take the world stage in June and July. Those cities are Atlanta, Charlotte, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, East Rutherford (New York/New Jersey), Orlando, Philadelphia, Seattle and Washington D.C.
