First Alert Weather Days: Tornado warnings, watches in effect
CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Friday is a First Alert Weather Day due to widespread severe storms likely this evening, according to the FOX19 NOW Weather Team
The Storm Prediction Center has most of the FOX19 NOW viewing area at moderate risk of severe storms (level 4 out of 5) with 75 mph wind gusts, large hail, and a 10% chance or greater of an EF2 tornado or greater, the weather team says.
Storm timeline




Widespread strong storms are expected to arrive across the Tri-State until around midnight Saturday.
After midnight, isolated showers may occur on Saturday morning and continue into midday.

Drying out this weekend
Both Saturday after the pre-dawn showers and Sunday look dry at this point, according to the weather team.
Some sunshine is possible as soon as Saturday afternoon.
Temperatures will return to the more seasonable 70s again this weekend into early next week.
Overnight lows starting at daybreak Sunday will be in the 50s.
Expect lots of sunshine with a high temperature in the mid-70s.
Rain chances are expected to return by Monday night, according to the weather team.
