Noel Rash named new head football coach at Conner
HEBRON, Ky. (WXIX) - A championship-winning coach is returning to the sideline to lead the Conner High School Cougars football team.
Conner announced Thursday that Noel Rash has been hired as the school’s head football coach.
Rash takes over for Dave Trosper, who passed away on June 7.
“Hiring Noel Rash was a no-brainer,” Conner High School principal Andrew Wyckoff explained. “Not only is he an incredible head coach with years of experience and an incredible track record to prove it, but he also loves Dave and wants to honor his name and coaching legend.”
Rash is a proven winner in Kentucky high school football.
For 17 seasons, he was the head coach at Beechwood, leading the Tigers to eight state championships.
He retired in 2023, but is now back as the Conner football coach.
