BLINK 2026 dates announced: Here’s what we know

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Downtown Cincinnati, Covington and Newport will once again illuminate with colorful hues, patterns and shapes as organizers plan for BLINK to return in 2026.

In a call to artists sent out Tuesday, the Cincinnati Regional Chamber announced BLINK will take place Oct. 8-11, 2026.

BLINK is the nation’s largest immersive light and art show, spanning over 30 city blocks and attracting more than one million people from all over the globe.

“BLINK has always been about pushing creative boundaries and bringing people together through awe and wonder,” said Leslie Mooney, Executive Director of BLINK. “As we open the Call to Artists for 2026, we’re looking to collaborate with visionaries locally and globally who want to help us tell bold, unexpected, and meaningful stories through light, art, and immersive experiences. Our goal is to continue building something that reflects the heart of our region and resonates on a global scale.”

In 2024, the light-art festival featured 37 projection mapping projects, 31 light-based installations and 19 permanent murals, according to a press release from the Cincinnati Regional Chamber.

“What makes BLINK so special is the artists who bring it to life each year. We welcome artists from all walks of life - with a variety of ideas and creative visions - to embark with us on a life-changing journey. We are committed to showcasing works from emerging artists who are on the rise in their careers as well as to those who are well established,” Mooney continued.

BLINK has become an biennial Tri-State tradition and continued to grow bigger and brighter every other year.

It was previously reported that BLINK 2022 accumulated over 2 million people and generated around $120 million in revenue for three local economies.

The numbers for 2024 are not in just yet, but organizers expect them to be higher.
