Reds trade for Gold Glove-winning infielder
CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The Reds are acquiring 28-year-old third baseman Ke’Bryan Hayes, the team announced Wednesday.
Hayes, 28, has played his entire six-year MLB career with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

According to The Fielding Bible, his 92 defensive runs saved since 2020 are the most by any Major League player at any position.
Hayes leads all third basemen this season with 16 defensive runs saved and is the active Major League leader at that position with a .981 fielding percentage.
The Reds are sending shortstop prospect Sammy Stafura and relief pitcher Taylor Rogers to Pittsburgh.
The MLB trade deadline is 6 p.m. Thursday.
