Reds-Cardinals game postponed due to weather
CINCINNATI (WXIX)— The Reds and St. Louis Cardinals will have to wait to face off after rain postponed Sunday’s game at Great American Ball Park.
The teams will make up the game as part of a split doubleheader on Aug. 17, according to Reds officials. The makeup game will begin at 1:40 p.m., followed by the regularly scheduled game at 6:40 p.m.
The Reds announced both games will be full nine-inning contests.
What fans need to know
Officials say that fans who bought tickets for Sunday’s game won’t need to exchange them. The same tickets will work for the Aug. 17 makeup game.
The ballpark will open its gates at 12:10 p.m. for season ticket holders and 12:40 p.m. for other fans before the afternoon game. For the evening game, gates open at 5:10 p.m. for season ticket holders and 5:40 p.m. for general admission.

Fans with paper tickets that don’t have a price printed on them can only use those tickets for the Aug. 17 makeup game. Complimentary tickets are also only valid for the makeup game.
Those with premium club seats can use their tickets for the same location at the makeup game or exchange them for non-premium seats at another game.
Anyone who bought tickets through a resale site like SeatGeek can use them for the Aug. 17 makeup game.
