CINCINNATI (WXIX) - All-Star Chase Burns has a massive new contract with the Cincinnati Reds.

ESPN MLB insider Jeff Passan reports that Burns and the Reds reached a seven-year, $105 million deal on Thursday.

“Burns, 23, was an All-Star this season and one of the best young pitchers in baseball,” Passan wrote on X.

There are no club options in the contract, and it runs through 2033.

Burns made his MLB debut in 2025, starting eight games for Cincinnati that season.

In the first half of the 2026 season, Burns has shown the talent that warrants a huge contract.

The 23-year-old right-hander has an 11-1 record with a 4.2 WAR in 18 starts this season. Burns has struck out 118 batters while only allowing 29 earned runs in 102 innings pitched.
