GREEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) - Two people found dead inside a home on Aug. 15 from an apparent murder-suicide have been identified, according to Green Township police and a coroner report.
Officers found two people dead inside the home on Lakewood Drive, police explained.
The two individuals are listed in the Hamilton County Coroner’s Report as Janice Marie Compton, 63, and Lee Compton, 64.
A person called 911, saying they went to check on their sister and brother-in-law when they found a body in the home.
“We just came over; we haven’t been able to get a hold of my sister or brother-in-law in three days,” the caller explained. “We went over to the house and went upstairs, and there’s a body up there.”
One officer is heard in a recording of the body camera that the man was found with a knife in his hands.
Green Township police said the evidence indicates the deaths to be a murder-suicide.
Police have not released the identities of either person.
