Popular frozen fruit bars recalled for possible glass contamination
(Gray News) - Several flavors of a popular brand of frozen fruit bars are being recalled because they may be contaminated with glass.
Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream Inc. announced a voluntary recall Sunday of five flavors of its Outshine Fruit Bars. The flavors affected are strawberry, watermelon, grape, tangerine and black cherry.
The fruit bars were distributed to stores nationwide. They came in packs of six, 2.5-ounce, paddle-shaped bars with best before dates between June 30, 2027, and Nov. 30, 2027.
Dreyer’s says the fruit bars may be contaminated with glass. No illnesses or injuries have been reported so far. Anyone concerned about an injury should contact a doctor.
The recalled fruit bars can be identified through batch codes and/or UPC numbers printed on the bottom of the box. Those specific numbers can be found by clicking here.
Customers are being urged to throw away the fruit bars or return them to the store where they bought them for a full refund.
No other Outshine products are impacted by the recall.
