Louisville man accused of kidnapping, robbing man he met on Grindr

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A Louisville man pleaded not guilty Wednesday to kidnapping, carjacking and armed robbery charges after an incident with a man he met on the dating app Grindr.
According to the arrest citation, 45-year-old John Wolf met the victim on Grindr in July. Police said the two had sex before Wolf pulled out a handgun and demanded money.
The citation asserts that Wolf held the victim at gunpoint, stole a PlayStation 5 and Meta glasses, and forced him to withdraw $300 from an ATM before fleeing and later sending threatening messages.
One message reportedly said the victim “would be dead before they can ever get me.”
Wolf, a convicted felon who was arrested Aug. 12 after attempting to flee police on a motorcycle, is scheduled for an Aug. 27 court appearance.
