When it comes to making breads and sandwiches to die for, Allez Bakery has made a name for itself in Cincinnati. However, the business has made tremendous gains in recent years thanks to partnerships around the city.

Co-owner Patrick Hague says that Allez has relied on partnerships with those who have out of the box ideas to help grow the business. Of course, experience has helped, too.

“Expert guidance just really helps us, sort of like, leverage our strengths with other people’s strengths, and kind of creates an environment where we might be learning some things and asking questions of ourselves that we hadn’t thought of before,” Hague said.

Hague says partnerships like that help keep his business in focus.

“We want people who are dedicated and focused on sort of keeping things in front of them,” Hague said. “Long term relationships are great for us, especially when we’re dealing with customers, who we deliver to and who we do business with. It helps us with planning for staffing equipment needs, and we’re going to reallocate our resources the best when it comes to scheduling.”

Hague also says that a recent challenge for him regarding bike delivery allowed him to rely on those partnerships and learning opportunities to take a chance and bring delivery in-house.

“That was a nice opportunity for us to sort of take a challenge and turn it into something that became a net positive for us in the business,” Hague said.
