FOX19 would like to congratulate Lanie Bernal, our December recipient of the Leaders in Learning award sponsored by Thomas More University! Ms. Bernal is a first-grade teacher at Northside Preparatory Academy and is highly regarded by her students. She shared that she loves teaching and enjoys her first-grade class, stating, “I love teaching first grade because they’re young minds, and I want to fill their minds with learning. I love seeing them grow!”
Some of her students shared that they love her and appreciate how she helps them learn. Not only does she help them academically, but she is also kind and genuinely cares about them. Her dedication and support for her students and community make her a true Leader in Learning!
