FOX19 would like to congratulate Catherine Guy, our March recipient of the Leaders In Learning award sponsored by Thomas More University! Ms. Guy is a beloved teacher at Dater Montessori Elementary School. FOX19 NOW spoke with Dr. Mark Gumm, Principal of DME, who praised her by saying Ms. Guy goes “above and beyond to make sure her kids get what they need”. Ms. Guy prides herself on creating a learning space where kids feel welcomed and engaged. Her passion for helping goes beyond the classroom, reaching into the community with her involvement in a variety of organizations/events. Her aide shared that since she started, Ms. Guy is “inspiring me every day!” The dedication and support to her students and community is what makes her a true Leader in Learning!
