FOX19 would like to congratulate Betsy Popple, our May recipient of the Leaders in Learning Award, sponsored by Thomas More University!
Mrs. Betsy Popple is an adult education teacher in Covington. She said, “I love teaching because my students mean everything to me!” She shared that many teachers don’t feel appreciated, but she feels fortunate because her students express their gratitude every day. She added, “We support each other, and I learn from them as much as they learn from me.” Mrs. Popple is also celebrating her 25th year in adult education this week. She talked about how lucky she feels to be in this profession and to support adults as they work toward meeting their goals. Her student, Fran, said, “Congratulations! People like her don’t get recognized enough!” Her dedication to her students and community is what makes her a true Leader in Learning.
