CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Change and spooky fun is coming to Kings Island’s Halloween Haunt this fall.
The hair-raising event officially kicks of Sept. 19 through Nov. 2, and will be open on select days and nights.
Halloween Haunt features six haunted mazes, five scare zones, themed foods, live performances and Kings Island’s rides and attractions.
The park will have a new maze debut this year, the Order of the Dragon, where guests will have to find a way out of the catacombs of the Vampire King’s lair. It will be located in the Action Zone section of the park.
Unlike previous years, guests wanting to go through the haunted mazes will have to purchase a Haunted Attractions Pass.
Starting at $10, the pass will get you into the haunted mazes, but it does not include park admission.
People can also choose to buy the Haunted Attractions Pass bundle for $55, which will get them all-day park admission and access to the haunted mazes.
“The introduction of this event pass reflects a new chapter of scares at Halloween Haunt, driven by haunted maze enhancements and the introduction of new scares designed to improve the guest experience during this event,” Kings Island wrote in a press release.
Additionally, the amusement park added a new “SCREAMium experience” for its guests: The Conjuring: Beyond Fear.
Folks will be tasked to lock away cursed artifacts before the supernatural escapes and wreaks havoc.
The new interactive feature is a separate event, and requires guests to buy a pass for it.
The pass starts at $15 and does not include admission into the park or the haunted mazes.
