CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Country-pop singer songwriter Walker Hayes is joining the lineup for America’s River Roots Festival in Greater Cincinnati.
Hayes, a 45-year-old from Mobile, Alabama, will join the stage with Grammy Award-winning artist Maren Morris Sunday, Oct. 12.

In 2021, Hayes released his hit song, “Fancy Like,” which went viral on TikTok after users started creating dance challenges to it. The song soon climbed to the No. 1 slot on the Billboard Country Songs Chart and hit the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.
This will be Hayes’ second time performing in the Queen City following his 2024 Same Drunk Tour at PNC Pavilion in 2024.
In addition to Morris and Hayes, other well-known names in the music industry will perform at America’s 250th Anniversary, including Weezer and Mt. Joy.
The five-day festival will take place across three cities - Cincinnati, Newport and Covington - Oct. 8-12, featuring a variety of genres, like the blues, country, funk and more.
More artists will be announced at a later date. In the meantime, here’s when each headliner is performing.
- Friday, Oct. 10: Mt. Joy at Smale Riverfront Park
- Saturday, Oct. 11: Weezer at Smale Riverfront Park
