CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Ohio’s sales tax holiday will return in early August.
Gov. Mike DeWine announced this year’s sales tax holiday will begin at 12 a.m. Aug. 7 and run through 11:59 p.m. Aug 9.
The sales tax holiday dates coincide with families getting ready for the new school year.
The following items qualify for the sales tax exemption during the three-day holiday:
- Clothing priced at $75 or less per item
- School supplies priced at $20 or less per item
- School instructional materials priced at $20 or less per item
“The sales tax break is designed to provide meaningful savings for families as they purchase new school essentials for the upcoming year," Gov. DeWine said.
