SANDUSKY, Ohio (WOIO) - Cedar Point confirmed that a person was hurt while riding a roller coaster last week.

According to Cedar Point spokesperson Tony Clark, the person was riding Siren’s Curse last Thursday.

Clark said the guest was transported for further treatment and evaluation, but due to privacy laws is not able to disclose additional information.

The ride functions as designed and after routine safety checks were completed, it was reopened to guests.

“Safety is a cornerstone of our business,” Clark said in an email.

Siren’s Curse is the tallest, fastest and longest “tilt” roller coaster in North America that made its debut in 2025, making it the park’s 19th roller coaster.

The roller coaster’s “signature moment” is a dead stop on a “broken off” section of track.

The platform holding the train of riders will slowly tilt the entire train into a 90-degree vertical position, forcing riders to peer straight down.

Siren’s Curse is located across from the Iron Dragon and near the Cedar Point Marina.
