LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A Louisville man was arrested Tuesday morning following an investigation into the shooting and destruction of a Flock camera at a local park. A search warrant revealed multiple damaged Flock cameras inside the suspect’s residence.

Christopher Embry, 35, faces multiple charges, including first-degree criminal mischief, first-degree wanton endangerment, third-degree criminal trespassing and discharging a firearm across a public road.

According to his arrest citation, Louisville Metro Police officers executed a search warrant at Embry’s residence Tuesday. The warrant was obtained in connection with a shooting incident reported at approximately 1:37 a.m. Aug. 15 in the 8200 block of Greenwood Road.

Police said Embry was caught on camera shooting a Flock safety camera.

The citation noted Embry allegedly put several individuals at risk of serious physical injury or death by firing in their direction, including two Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies who were patrolling the park at the time.

During the search of Embry’s residence, detectives reported finding five damaged Flock safety cameras, along with components such as solar panels. The total damage to the equipment is estimated at $4,850.

Law enforcement officers also recovered several weapons, including the firearm believed to have been used in the Aug. 15 shooting. An electronic bicycle and the clothing allegedly used during the commission of the crimes were also seized.

Additionally, police said Embry tampered with evidence by resetting his cellphone prior to his arrest to prevent detectives from accessing location data.

Embry pleaded not guilty. His bond was set at $50,000.
