I grew up just outside of Cincinnati, where summer storms and snow days first sparked my curiosity about the weather. That fascination eventually took me to Ball State University, where I studied Operational Meteorology and Climatology and graduated in 2012. During those years, I didn’t just study the weather — I lived it. I spent several springs out in the field chasing tornadoes across the country, learning firsthand how powerful and unpredictable the atmosphere can be.

After college, I jumped straight into the world of broadcast meteorology, working in some truly unique places — from snow-covered Anchorage, Alaska, to the deep South in Jackson, Mississippi, to the heart of the Midwest in Indianapolis. Eventually, I made it back home to Cincinnati, forecasting for WKRC-TV and reconnecting with the community that shaped me.

After more than a decade on-air, I took what I’d learned and stepped into a new role behind the scenes — joining The Weather Company as a Broadcast Media Consultant and Trainer. There, I worked with stations across the world, helping weather teams use new tools and better serve their audiences when it mattered most.

Now, I’m back in Cincinnati once again — and after working at 3 out of 4 stations in town, I think it’s safe to say I’ve taken the scenic route home. While the job looks a little different, the mission is the same: building trust, simplifying the complicated and showing up when people need it most.
