Tricia Macke

Tricia Macke has been a cornerstone of FOX19 News since its debut in 1993, making her the longest-tenured news anchor in Cincinnati. A multi-Emmy Award winner and recipient of the AP Award for Excellence in Journalism, Tricia has built a career on delivering impactful stories with integrity and passion.

Her reporting has taken her across the globe—from war zones in Bosnia and Germany to the heart of Israel—covering history as it unfolds. She has interviewed world leaders, including President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence, as well as countless senators, governors, professional athletes, and celebrities. Tricia has covered major national stories, such as the O.J. Simpson trial, and has been deeply committed to local reporting that makes a difference. She was the only local journalist to uncover the serious health effects facing residents of East Palestine, Ohio, and has dedicated her career to telling stories that matter.

A Newport, Kentucky native, Tricia is deeply rooted in her community. She is a proud mother of five—Spencer, Piper, Dash, Saylor, and Katlynn. In 2005, she adopted Katlynn from her sister, who passed away from cancer, ensuring that family always comes first. She has been married to Chris, a local attorney and sports agent, since 1992, and despite multiple opportunities to leave the Queen City, she has remained committed to Northern Kentucky and FOX19, the place she calls home.

Beyond journalism, Tricia is passionate about shaping the next generation. She founded a basketball organization to help kids earn college scholarships while teaching them the value of education and life skills. She is also a dedicated basketball coach, an advocate for animal rescue, and a proud supporter of veterans—honoring them daily on FOX19’s 4:00 news and joining many on Honor Flights.

Anchoring 4.5 hours of news each day—at 4, 5, 6, 10, and 11 p.m.—Tricia remains dedicated to delivering accurate, compelling, and compassionate journalism. Whether she’s covering breaking news or championing local causes, her heart is with her community, and she continues to serve it, one story at a time.
